2021 Annual NIAM Art Contest
The goal of the Art Contest is for minority youths to envision and express their creativity and educate the public of their heritage. The contest will be inclusive of all legal residents residing in the United States and District of Columbia. At this time, the contest will not be opened internationally.

THEME. The theme of this contest is Cultural Heritage. Art submissions (digital, painting, sculpture, drawing, etc.) should reflect the participants cultural heritage of cultures, values, and/or traditions. Cultural heritage represents your history and your identity; the bond to the past, present, and the future.
AGE CATEGORIES. Children (5-12 years old) and Teens (13-17 years old)
1st Place: $1,000
2nd Place: $700
3rd Place: $500
HOW TO ENTER. Only one (1) entry per person. Participants must be a legal minority resident of the U.S. and District of Columbia. All submitted artwork must be a digital image (JPEG or PNG format) submitted via email to “firstname.lastname@example.org” using the subject line “Art Contest 2021: Age Category: [Children or Teens]”, with Entry Form, and Copyright Release Form. Link to forms are downloadable at “www.niamusa.org” or “NIAM Facebook”. If no forms accompany the submitted artwork, the participant will be denied entry to the contest. Participants must sign and date their artwork before submitting. Artwork cannot contain any nudity, violence, or political contents. Any artwork used or submitted for previous projects is NOT acceptable.

JUDGING. Round 1 will start March 1st at 9:00 a.m. CST and end March 8th at 11:59 p.m. CST. A public post of your artwork will be posted on NIAM Facebook. Invite your family and friends to vote for your artwork by hitting the “LIKE” button on the original post and “LIKE” and “FOLLOW” NIAM Facebook. Voters must “LIKE” and “FOLLOW” NIAM Facebook for all votes to count. Votes may be manually counted. Top 5 with the most valid votes from each Age Category will proceed to Round 2. More updates on Round 2 will follow.
WINNERS. Winners are determined by popular vote. Top 3 artwork with the most valid votes in each Age Categories will be announced on NIAM Facebook on April 2 (a total of 6 winners, 3 per Age Category).
