NIAM Embroidery Contest for Mothers
NIAM believes in empowering minority women by connecting them to resources and opportunities to care for their families, provide life changing skills, promote healthy living, and support them psychologically. This contest is a unique opportunity for mothers to broadcast their heartwarming and compelling traditional handmade Hmong embroidery skills.

*Machine-made, digital printing, store bought, and copyright embroidery is NOT acceptable. All embroidery must be handmade from original owner. Limited to 1 (one) entry per person.
|| DEADLINE TO SUBMIT || August 29, 2020
To enter, embroidery must be mailed to NIAM office along with a photocopy of your valid ID**, short bio and story of your embroidery, and contact information. Please stitch or sign your embroidery along with the date it was made.

1st Place: $1000
2nd Place: $700
3rd Place: $500
All entries will be displayed at NIAM Resource Fair on September 5, 2020 for voting. Winners with the most votes will be announced on NIAM Facebook. No online votes. Embroidery that places will be kept at NIAM Office. Winners are required to sign a Copyright Release Agreement with NIAM.

**A valid ID includes driver’s license, a state issued photo ID, passport, military issued ID, permanent alien resident card, or certificate of US Naturalization. All ID’s must be current (not expired). You can email a copy of your ID to firstname.lastname@example.org.
